FranaticLife.com came to fruition when I realized that all of the thoughts in my head needed some place to go. There are so many things that I am FANATIC about and wanted one place to share my ideas, thoughts, and passions. The meat of this blog comes from
a few lifetimes of experiences, and the experiences of others that I meet along the way. FranaticLife.com brings an ocean of topics to appease my Frantic Thoughts that whirl with new ideas, projects, hobbies, epiphanies, lifestyle changes, new and exciting knowledge, topics I reflect on most, and possible 😏 talents.
You know the why, but here's the what. I wanted to share such a smorgasbord of topics that a website was the natural solution. My hope is that there is something for everyone and that at least you will be entertained, but at most you will find heart filling stories, relatable topics, intriguing ideas, or common interests that will keep you coming back.
Let's break it down...
My name is Frances Bray, but most call me Fran, hence the chosen title for this site.
I won't delve to far into my history and life because your going to get to know me along the way but here's the bones of it.
I was born and raised in Danville, Virginia as the baby of seven. Three boys, four girls. Crazy right!
I had your typical 80's/90's upbringing where we came home when the street light came on. We played at the creek and rode bikes. We talked on a phone with the longest cord known to man because we had to stretch the CORDED phone around the corner to get any privacy. We played hard and got dirty and lived pretty simply compared to now a days.
As good as it was, like many teenagers I couldn't wait to bust out of this small town. I joined the US Navy at 17 and off I went... Boot Camp, Hospital Corpsman School, then Pensacola, Florida as my first "grueling" duty station haha. This is where I found myself learning to adult with a new husband at 20 and a new baby boy at 21. My baby girl came later at 23 and with a new adventure to Beaufort, SC. I know I know...these duty stations are horrible! I love that my babies were born in beach towns!
We went from Navy to army when my hubby decided to try his hand at flying and so there we were in a whirlwind life as a helicopter family. It was fun, deployments not so much.
The distance was difficult & Jeramy & I divorced after 15 years of marriage, each married another & then divorced for the second time. FAST FORWARD...Two divorces, 10 years lost between Jeramy and I, and one grandbaby later, Jeramy & I sit on the couch in our Pensacola home watching old digitized home movies thinking how surreal it is that that we found our way back to each other and loving the feeling of home that that brings. Here's to our forever!
I love to build and I love to learn to build. This hobby came from never quite being able find exactly what I'm looking for, so I started learning to repurpose and build furniture. Seeing my creations come to life as I hone my woodworking skill has become so fulfilling and addictive. I'll post new creations here and tutorials along the way.
This....THIS is my true addiction. If I could spend everyday organizing the homes of others and getting paid to do it I would.
Here I'll share before and afters of projects that I have forced on my friends and loved ones as well as the tips and tricks that will help you get it together.
I am dedicating an area of special tribute to those who want to share a story of the struggles and victories that helped to shape who they are today. I believe it is in these stories of grace and strength that we find our deepest connections.
Hustle and heart is what the small business owners bring to the table everyday and they do it because they were brave enough to step out and chase a dream. Make sure you show them your love and support!
